What is Studio J?
Studio J is a working studio where art & music are created.
It's an eclectic mix of the arts. Here we paint masterpieces in our own way, explore clay, create crafts, watercolor and more.
What ages do we serve?
Classes for ages 6 months to 16 years
Instrument lessons from age 3 up
Some offerings for adults as well.
Why are we here?
As a Mom of four I delight in the choices I have made as a parent that involved spending quality time with one of our children where I spend time focusing on just that child. The time really goes so quickly. I find as a Mother I remember moments, not days. I recall the first step of each child, the joy of watching our son get covered in paint the first time I offered him fingerpaint, the excitement of realizing that your child knows every word to the songs they sing in music class each week. As a parent you have thousands of choices. As a Mom I admire you for investing your time and money into considering offering your child the opportunity to sing, paint and play here.
If your child is a little older remember that it is never too late to start enjoying the arts with your child. You will be surprised at how something inside of you begins to create again too. Some children will express an interest in learning a musical instrument when they are in elementary or even middle school once they see that some of their friends play instruments.
Young children are so inquisitive that it is the perfect time to introduce them to art and music. They are constantly soaking up the influences around them. We strive to introduce them to a creative fluid environment.
Here they will be supported in discovering and expressing themselves with various forms of art media, playing instruments, discovering their voice, becoming comfortable with dance and movement and delighting in the joy of play.
